While they continue to play well???? Not bagging on the Kings, just pointing out once again that Ek needs to change this site to East Coast Hockeybuzz and be done with it. The Kings have lost 4 in a row and were just booed off the ice after losing to the Sharks. Hardly playing well at the moment.

Mckinnon really stepped up since Duschene left and also I agree they have exceeded expectations and are playing with house money at this point.

What do the Avs do at the draft with their 1st?

If all things were equal what are they missing the most moving forward? RHD is obviously not an issue at all. Loads of young forwards.

Id say LHD to add to that future core of Makar, Timmins, Zadorov and Girard.

LHD isnt as major concern. They have a lot of LHD in the pipeline either in AHL or CHL.
Winger depth is an issue now. They have Cs for Days, not many pure wingers.

IF they avs were tanking Zadina would have been perfect, but if they are drafting mid 1st round, BPA still. But I hope they grab a goalie in the 2nd round....they dont have much for future gems there

Ya I was thinking top pairing LHD with the 1st and then load up on goalies in the 2nd and 3rd if there is something good there if not wingers.

Not a strong draft for wingers in the top 10- 20.

You seem to be able to get some nice winger options in the 2nd and 3rd as people tend to draft centers and defense over them. Canucks seem to have done alright last year in the 2nd was really hoping you guys would pass on Timmins but Lind was nice find.
